THE SITUATION

You publish. Google doesn’t index it.

Search Console shows the status. Nobody on the team knows what to do about it.

Your XML sitemap has errors, orphaned URLs, or pages that don't match what's actually live.

Googlebot spends its budget on filter URLs and staging leftovers instead of the pages that sell.

A redesign or platform move dropped rankings and nobody mapped the redirects properly.

Someone shipped a noindex to staging, it hit production, and weeks of content vanished from search before anyone noticed.

Traffic is down, the content didn't change, and the answer is buried in a report nobody reads weekly.

WHY GROWSTON

Most technical SEO vendors hand you a PDF. We also ship the fix.

A list of indexation problems doesn't get a single extra page ranked. Growston pairs the audit with the engineer who ships the sitemap, the robots.txt, and the redirect map — inside your CMS, not in a slide deck.

A typical technical SEO vendor

  • Hands you a spreadsheet of pages that aren't indexed
  • Checks Search Console once and calls it an audit
  • Recommends fixes and hands them to your dev queue
  • Treats indexation as a one-time cleanup
  • Optimizes for Google only

Growston

  • Ships the sitemap, robots.txt and code fix — the same team that found the issue
  • Sets up ongoing index coverage monitoring, so new issues surface in days, not at the next quarterly audit
  • Writes the tickets in dev language and ships the fix, because we're also your engineering team
  • Treats indexation as infrastructure, monitored every month it's live
  • Checks how ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini crawl and cite your pages too — GEO built in, not bolted on

WHAT WE DO

Index coverage, fixed at the source

Growston’s Website Indexation service finds every page Google can’t — or won’t — index, fixes the cause, and ships the fix in your CMS or codebase. Not a recommendation. A shipped change.

Crawl budget optimization

Audit crawl stats and log files, then fix what's wasting Googlebot's budget on low-value URLs instead of your money pages.

HOW IT WORKS

From index gaps to a system Google trusts, in four steps

Every step produces something you keep — whether or not you continue with us.

01

Audit

Full crawl and index coverage audit: Search Console data, log files, sitemap health, robots.txt, canonical tags and JS rendering, cross-checked against what's actually indexed.

A written findings document naming exactly which pages are affected and why — yours to keep regardless of what happens next.

02

30/60/90 Plan

A sequenced fix plan tied to your CMS or codebase, prioritized by which pages carry the most pipeline value — not a generic technical SEO checklist.

You receive

A roadmap your CTO or VP Marketing can read in five minutes.

03

Build & Launch

The embedded team — technical SEO specialist and, where scoped, a developer — ships the sitemap, robots.txt, redirects and canonical fixes directly in your environment.

You receive

A working index coverage fix, not a deliverable list.

04

Optimize & Report

Ongoing Search Console monitoring, monthly reporting tied to indexed-page count and organic visibility, and a quarterly review where you can challenge our direction.

You receive

A live coverage dashboard and a written narrative — what changed, why, what's next.

THE ALTERNATIVES

The honest comparison

Growston In-house hire Big traditional agency Freelancer / solo fractional CMO
Cost Fixed-scope, mid-market pricing for senior delivery — audit and fix, same team Full-time technical SEO hire plus a developer to action fixes Expensive, top-heavy pricing for work spread thin across clients Cheap, but no developer behind the audit
Time to value Weeks — audit to a shipped fix 2–4 months hiring, plus ramp Slow — briefs handed to juniors, fragmented internally Fast to start, but stalls at the dev handoff
Strategy + execution together Yes — one team finds the issue and ships the fix Depends entirely on who you hire Rarely — audit and implementation sold as separate line items No — you still need someone to ship the code
After launch Monitors, tests and improves coverage monthly Maintenance mode Account handed off to juniors Unreliable continuity

FIT CHECK

Who this is for — and who it is not

Not a fit if you…

  • You need results in 30 days
  • Have no content published yet — indexation work needs pages to index
  • Operate in crypto, gambling, adult content, or MLM

Good fit if you…

  • Are a B2B SaaS or scale-up in the Nordics, UK, US, or expanding into them, publishing content that isn't showing up in search
  • Have seen a rankings or traffic drop after a migration, redesign, or platform move
  • Have a dev team that can ship a fix once it's specified — you just need the ticket written in their language
  • Are ready to give us access to Search Console, your CMS or repo, and the people who can approve a deploy

FAQ

Before you ask

What does "website indexation improvement" actually mean?

It means finding every page Google can’t or won’t add to its index, fixing the cause — crawl budget, sitemap, robots.txt, canonical tags, or JavaScript rendering — and shipping that fix in your CMS or codebase, not just naming it in a report.

Why is Google showing "Discovered – not indexed" for my pages?

Usually one of three causes: the content reads as too similar to a page Google already has, it ran out of crawl budget before reaching the page, or the page sits too many clicks deep in your site structure. The audit identifies which applies to you.

What's the difference between "Crawled – not indexed" and "Discovered – not indexed"?

“Discovered” means Google knows the URL exists but hasn’t crawled it yet — usually a crawl budget or internal linking issue. “Crawled – not indexed” means Google visited the page and chose not to index it — usually a content quality or duplication issue. The fix differs for each.

Can a robots.txt or sitemap fix hurt my rankings?

A wrong fix can. We test changes in staging or on a canary set of URLs before rolling out site-wide, and monitor Search Console daily for the first two weeks after any change.

We just migrated platforms and lost rankings — is that an indexation problem?

Often, yes. Migrations break redirects, resubmit malformed sitemaps, or leave a noindex tag live from staging. We treat post-migration recovery as an indexation emergency, not a routine audit.

Does this cover AI search engines too, not just Google?

Yes. We check how ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini crawl and cite your pages as part of the same audit — GEO is built into the process, not a separate add-on.

We already have a technical SEO vendor. Do we need to replace them?

Not necessarily. Some clients bring us in specifically for the indexation layer while keeping their existing vendor for content and strategy. We’ll tell you directly if that split makes sense or if it’s a false economy.
