An unpatched core and outdated plugins turned a marketing website into a security incident — and no one had ownership of the fix.
WORDPRESS MAINTENANCE FOR B2B SAAS
WordPress maintenance services that keep your site fast, secure, and never the reason a launch slips.
Core, theme and plugin updates, security patching, verified backups, and Core Web Vitals fixes — run by the same engineering team that builds your marketing site, so WordPress support never turns into an unstaffed ticket queue.

The situation
WordPress runs your site. Nobody runs WordPress.
Most B2B marketing sites get built once, then left to accumulate plugins, an aging core, and backups nobody has actually tested — until something breaks in production.
Core, theme and plugin updates sit in a queue behind product work, so the site runs months behind on security patches.
Slow LCP, layout shift and unresponsive pages are costing you rankings and conversions, and no one's watching the score.
Backups are assumed, not verified — so one bad plugin update turns into a five-alarm recovery job.
A patchwork of contractors means nobody fully understands how the site is actually built anymore.
Uptime isn't anyone's job, so outages surface as a complaint instead of an alert.
Why Growston
Most WordPress maintenance plans patch. We own the outcome.
A plugin update marked "complete" isn't the same as a site that's actually safe, fast and still converting. We treat WordPress as part of the growth stack it supports — not a checkbox separate from it.
A typical maintenance plan
- Runs updates on a schedule and reports "all green."
- Flags a security or speed issue in a monthly PDF.
- Treats WordPress as a static asset to patch.
- Backups exist somewhere, in theory.
- Escalates anything past "update the plugin" to a developer you don't have.
Growston
- Runs updates, then verifies nothing broke — checkout, forms, tracking — before calling it done.
- Fixes the issue that week, because the person who found it can also ship the code.
- Treats WordPress as part of the growth stack — tied to the same SEO, tracking and speed goals as the rest of the site.
- Backups are tested on a schedule, not just taken.
- Is the developer — WordPress, Core Web Vitals and migrations handled by the same team.
What we do
Full-stack WordPress maintenance, not a plugin-update checklist
WordPress Administration is Growston’s ongoing service for updates, security, backups, speed and support — run by the same engineering team that builds the marketing site, so maintenance never turns into an unstaffed ticket queue.
Core, theme & plugin updates
Scheduled updates for WordPress core, themes and plugins, tested in staging before they touch production. Security patches are applied on discovery, not on the next quarterly cycle.
Website speed & performance
Caching, CDN configuration and image optimization tuned for the hosting environment you're already on — not a generic plugin install.
Core Web Vitals fixes
LCP, CLS and INP issues diagnosed and fixed at the code level, so page experience stops quietly costing you rankings.
Indexation & crawl health
Sitemap errors, crawl budget waste and stray noindex tags cleaned up, so your best pages actually reach Google.
Migrations & platform moves
Domain, host or CMS migrations planned and executed without losing the rankings or traffic the site already has.
Webflow sites, covered too
The same update, monitoring and support cadence, for teams running marketing pages on Webflow instead of WordPress.
How it works
From audit to a running maintenance system in four steps
Every step produces something you keep — whether or not you continue with us.
Audit
A full technical audit: core, plugin and theme versions, known vulnerabilities, backup status, Core Web Vitals scores and hosting environment.
You receive
A written findings report naming every outdated component and security gap — yours to keep regardless of what happens next.
30/60/90 Plan
A prioritized remediation and maintenance plan, sequenced by risk and impact, scoped to your site's size and complexity — not a generic best-practice checklist.
You receive
A roadmap your CTO or marketing lead can read in five minutes.
Build & Launch
The embedded technical team takes over the update cadence, security monitoring and backup schedule, inside your existing hosting and workflow.
You receive
A running maintenance system, not a one-off cleanup.
Optimize & Report
Ongoing monitoring, monthly patch cycles, and a report tied to uptime, Core Web Vitals and security status, plus a quarterly review.
You receive
A live status dashboard and a written narrative — what changed, why, what's next.
Audit first, written scope within 3 business days.

The alternatives
The honest comparison
| Growston | In-house hire | Big traditional agency | Freelancer / solo contractor | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Fixed-scope care plan, priced to your site's size and complexity. | €40K–€70K/yr for a dedicated WordPress developer, plus recruiting and management overhead. | Retainer priced for a full marketing scope, even when all you need is technical upkeep. | Cheap per hour, but capacity and continuity cap out fast. |
| Time to value | Days — audit to a running update and monitoring cadence. | 6–8 weeks hiring, then ramp. | Slow — WordPress work queued behind campaign deliverables. | Fast to start, but no coverage when they're unavailable. |
| Coverage + engineering together | Yes — the team maintaining the site can also ship the SEO and speed fixes it needs. | Depends entirely on who you hire. | Rarely — technical work gets outsourced or ignored. | One person, one skill set — security, speed and content rarely all covered. |
| After launch | Monitored, patched and reported on every month. | Maintenance mode, if they stay. | Handed to a junior account manager. | Unreliable continuity. |
Fit check
Who this is for — and who it is not
Not a fit if you…
- You need results in 30 days
- Want a one-off cleanup with no ongoing update cadence afterward
- Operate in crypto, gambling, adult content, or MLM
Good fit if you…
- Run a B2B SaaS or scale-up website on WordPress and need someone else to own the technical upkeep
- Have (or had) a site built by a freelancer or agency that's since gone quiet
- Want core, plugin and theme updates handled on a schedule, not "whenever someone remembers"
- Are ready to hand over hosting, staging and admin access so we can actually run the plan

FAQ
Before you ask
What's included in WordPress Administration?
Core, theme and plugin updates, security patching, backup verification, uptime monitoring, and Core Web Vitals fixes, run on a fixed monthly cadence. A full redesign or rebuild is quoted separately.
Do you host our WordPress site, or just maintain it?
We maintain the site on your existing hosting by default. We can recommend or manage a hosting migration if your current setup is the reason for the downtime or speed issues.
What happens if a plugin update breaks something?
Every update runs on a staging copy first. If something breaks, we catch it there, not on your live site, and we roll back before it reaches production if a fix isn’t ready in time.
We're on Webflow, not WordPress. Can you still help?
Yes. Webflow Administration covers the same update, monitoring and support cadence for Webflow-built sites.
Do you also fix SEO and speed issues, or just keep WordPress updated?
Both. The same team runs Core Web Vitals fixes, indexation cleanup and speed optimization — an “updated” site that’s still slow hasn’t actually been fixed.
What if we need a migration, not ongoing maintenance?
That’s a separate, scoped project. We often run the migration first, then move the site onto an ongoing maintenance plan.
Do we need this if we use a page builder like Elementor or Divi?
Yes. Page builders add their own update cycle and compatibility risk on top of WordPress core — if anything, they raise the maintenance workload, not lower it.
Will we own our own site and data if we ever leave?
Yes. You keep admin access, hosting credentials and every report we produce, whether or not you continue with us.
